Antiba

Antiba oddzieliła się jako odrębna firma od zakładów Spiessa (Przemysłowo-Handlowe Zakłady Chemiczne Ludwik Spiess i Syn S.A.) w roku 1929, jako marka kosmetyków Spiessa nazwa ta pojawia  się już wcześniej – dział „Antiba” powstał w roku 1924. Cennik wyrobów Spiessa z 1926 roku wymienia krem, otrąbki i dwa rodzaje pudru Abarid. Poza produkcją własnych kosmetyków Spiess dystrybuował również wyroby innych firm, m.in. Bourjois, Wolf & Sohn (Kaloderma) i in.  W zakładach Spiessa produkowano wiele surowców wykorzystywanych do produkcji kosmetyków – m.in. lanolinę, wyciągi tkankowe.

W 1936 asortyment Antiby jest już potężny, cennik wymienia dziewięć rodzajów kremów, płyny kosmetyczne (toniki i mleczka), pudry (puder Antiba w 12 odcieniach i puder „światłochronny”), żel i krem do rąk, produkty do higieny jamy ustnej Dentosan, szampon Savona i inne preparaty do pielęgnacji włosów i skóry głowy, mydła, depilatory, dezodoranty i inne wyroby kosmetyczne jak również spory asortyment wyrobów perfumeryjnych.

Antiba separated as the independent company from the Spiess' Factory  in 1929,  but as the brand of Spiess' cosmetics this name appears earlier  - "Antiba" department in the Spiess' Factory came into existence in 1924.  The price list of Spiess' products from 1926 is mentioning cream, beauty-brans and two kinds of Abarid powder. Apart from the production of own cosmetics brands Spiess also distributed products of other companies, among others Bourjois, Wolf & Sohn (Kaloderma) etc.  At Spiess' Factory a lot of raw materials used for the production of cosmetics were produced - among others lanolin and tissue extracts.  

In 1936 the Antiba assortment is already huge, the price list is enumerating nine kinds of creams, cosmetic liquids (lotions and milks), powders (Antiba powder in 12 shades and "light-protecting" powder), gel and hand cream, Dentosan brand products for the dental hygiene, Savona shampoo and other preparations for the scalp and hair care, soaps, depilators, deodorants and other cosmetic products as well as the considerable range of perfumery products.
